Plesk

You can install plugin via server console (terminal) with a root user by executing the following command:
plesk bin extension --install-url [code will appear after you or sign up]

or via Plesk interface:

  1. Download: [link will appear after you or sign up]
  2. Log in to Plesk Panel as admin.
  3. Go to "Server Management" -> "Extensions".
  4. Click "Add Extension", choose siteprobuilder.zip (the file you just downloaded) file and click "OK".
The option to upload Plesk extension was removed in Plesk Onyx 17.8. Please visit this documentation page to see how to enable this option again (scroll to section "Downloadable File"):
https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/onyx/extensions-guide/plesk-extensions-basics/distributing-extensions.78770/
Notes:
  • The plugin works only for customers but not for users of customers. The user will get error "Permission denied".
  • Make sure that passive mode in FTP server is enabled. Usually it is disabled by default.
  • When updating "Limited plans" field in the license the plugin needs to be re-installed.
  • If plugin throws "Access denied" or "Permission denied" error then check what mode your panel is on. Go to "Tools & Settings" -> "Interface management". If your panel is on "Power user view" mode then switch it to "Service provider view". After that the plugin will work however only for newly created customers. So you will need to remove all users created in Power user view mode and create them anew as Customers in Service provider view.

WHMCS

We strongly recommend to use WHMCS version 7.2 or higher. The site builder module may not always work properly with earlier versions.

Installation

  1. Download plugin archive from [link will appear after you or sign up].
  2. Extract archive contents to /modules/addons directory.
  3. Log in to WHMCS as admin and go to "Setup" -> "Addon Modules" in menu.
  4. A new module Site Builder should appear. Click "Activate" green button next to it.
  5. Click button "Configure" to see extra module configuration:
    • Use as Product Addon — If checked then module will work as product addon for hosting service. Go to "Products/Services""Product Addons" menu in WHMCS admin area and create addon for Site Builder. You can find more about WHMCS product addons here.
During product addon creation in WHMCS in "Module Settings" tab specify the following values:
      Product Type = Shared Hosting
Module Name = [your used hosting panel]
    • Product Addon Name — Your created builder product addon name. Required only if module is used as product addon.
    • Builder Button Label — The label for builder button on client's product details page.
    • Main Domain Limit — If checked then each client will be able to edit only main account domain in builder (no addon and sub domains) — only for cPanel.
  6. Install site builder plugin on your hosting panel used with WHMCS by instruction on this page.
If you use cPanel then you can skip this step.

After module installation customers will see builder button Site Builder in their accounts. The button will be available on the Shared Hosting details page.

The module has 2 operating modes:

  1. when option Use as Product Addon is UNCHECKED. This is a default mode. In this case all customers on WHMCS will see builder button in their accounts on Shared Hosting details page in left side menu, and all customers will automatically be able to use site builder.
  2. when option Use as Product Addon is CHECKED. In this case initially no customer will see builder button in account. The builder will be available only after the customer purchases product addon to his shared hosting product. You will need to create separate Product Addon for site builder and relate it to Shared Hosting product. Do not forget to specify your product addon name in site builder configuration on WHMCS admin area Product Addon Name field.
Notes:
  • After module installation new item Site Builder will appear in WHMCS admin area menu. Clicking it the empty page is loaded. This is not a bug — the module does not have any output for admin area.
  • Specify customer's proper username and password in WHMCS admin area.
If you use cPanel then you can specify only username.
  • If you use ISPmanager panel together with WHMCS then you will need to install ISPmanager module separately. Follow this link for more information:
    https://doc.ispsystem.com/index.php/Integration_between_ISPmanager_and_WHMCS
