1. Register on Site.pro (use VIP URL if you have it);
2. Create and fill brand (if it doesn't exist yet):
• Choose Cloud or On-Premises and press "Save".
• Click the "Manage" button.
  Fill in the information about your website builder in "Customize builder".
3. Install the website builder (Only On-premises):
• Install builder
• Now your website builder starts working.
4. Install the plugin on hosting panel and billing panel:
• Install plugin
• Now your customers can access website builder through the panels.
5. Test it:
   • Open "Public Demo URL" link in "Customize Builder";
   • Login to customer account (hosting panel and billing panel) and open the website builder.

SSH (Secure Shell) allows secure remote access to a server. Below are instructions for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

For Windows

Method 1: Using PowerShell (Windows 10/11)

1. Open PowerShell (Press Win + X → Select PowerShell or Terminal).

2. Enter the command:

   ssh root@server_ip -p 22

   (Replace "server_ip" with your server’s IP/hostname. If you use a non-default SSH port, replace "22" with your port number.)

3. If prompted, type yes to accept the fingerprint.
4. Enter your password (or use SSH keys if configured).

Method 2: Using PuTTY (Alternative)

1. Download PuTTY (https://www.putty.org).
2. Open PuTTY → Enter the server’s IP/hostname and port (default: 22).
3. Click Open → Log in with your credentials.

For macOS & Linux

Using Terminal (Built-in SSH Client)

1. Open Terminal (⌘ + Space → "Terminal" on macOS / Ctrl+Alt+T on Linux).

2. Run:

   ssh root@server_ip -p 22

   (Replace "server_ip" with your server’s IP/hostname. If you use a non-default SSH port, replace "22" with your port number.)

3. If prompted, type yes to accept the fingerprint.
4. Enter your password (or use SSH keys if configured).

For cPanel server you can access your server via SSH using cPanel's built-in Terminal (Web-based) on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Accessing cPanel Terminal (any OS)

1. Log in to your cPanel WHM system (usually https://yourdomain.com:2087).
2. Under the "Server Configuration" section, find and click "Terminal".
3. The browser-based terminal will open under root user.

Accessing Plesk Terminal (any OS)

1. Log in to your Plesk server as admin/root (usually https://yourdomain.com:8443).
2. Go to "Extensions" in left sidebar and switch to "My Extensions" tab.
3. Check if you see "SSH Terminal" extension in the list. If you don't, then install by by taking these steps:
   1. Switch to "Extensions Catalog" tab.
   2. Type "SSH Terminal" in search bar and click on the found entry.
   3. Click "Get if Free" button to install it and wait while the process completes.
4. Go to "Tools & Settings" in left sidebar and click on "SSH Terminal" item.
5. The browser-based terminal will open under root user.

After license upgrade, Site.pro badge is still displayed on websites. Your logo is starting to be displayed only on newly created websites.

If you want to have website builder and mail server on the same domain, you need to add MX records to that domain (pointing to your mail server IP address).

Users often encounter is that website builder can only be accessed through your Hosting Panel or directly via your Site.pro account. This means that you cannot access the website builder by typing its URL directly into your web browser.

Why is Access Restricted?

The restriction on accessing the Site.pro website builder via its dedicated URL is primarily a security measure implemented to protect the integrity of your website and data. By restricting access to website builder through authorized channels like your Hosting Panel or Site.pro account, Site.pro ensures that only authorized users can make changes to your website. This helps to minimize the risk of unauthorized access and potential security breaches.

How to access Site.pro website builder:

Via Hosting Panel:

1. Login to your hosting provider panel.
2. Navigate to Site.pro website builder;

Via Site.pro Account:

1. Log in to your Site.pro account.
2. Go to "My Websites" page.
3. Click "Edit Website" on an existing website;

1. Go to My Licenses page;
2. Click "Manage" button next to desired brand;
3. On the left-side panel, choose "Install builder" tab;
4. Click "Builder installation / update" button;
5. Follow the installation guide or create a ticket and we will help you with the installation.

If you have websites created with website builder V3, the following migration options are available for your customers' websites:

• (Recommended) We automatically migrate all your websites to website builder V4 (if there will be any concerns from your customers, please create a ticket and we will fix all issues);
• We manually migrate all your websites, check quality of migration and make slight changes (if needed) for an additional fee.

Note: Since December 2021, Website builder V3 is EOL (end-of-life) and is no longer supported.

In early 2023, we began automatically migrating all V3 websites to V4 for Cloud brands.

Publication is the process that starts when the client presses button "Publish" in website builder toolbar. The process can be divided into several parts that are executed one after another in a specified order:

• saving draft — this step saves website draft — the same action that is triggered when pressing button "Save Draft". This step takes <1 second; when it is completed the state "preparing..." is displayed;
• website generation — during this step website builder generates final website files that will be published to client's hosting. They consist mostly of .php, .js, .css and different media files. During this step the state "building website..." is displayed;
• connection to hosting FTP server — this is the 1st step of deploying part. Website builder tries to establish FTP connection with hosting server where it will publish website. The connection is made with 3 different IPs in specified order until it finally connects (when it connects with some of them, it does not try the rest):
  • IP address which was passed by hosting control panel API to website builder plugin when website builder was opened (in case "Custom (API)" is used, it is defined by parameter "apiUrl");
  • IP address of domain that was opened (in case "Custom (API)" is used, it is defined by parameter "baseDomain" [or "domain" if "baseDomain" is not provided]);
  • remote IP address of server that made API call to website builder during opening;
  During this step the state "connecting..." is displayed;
• logging to hosting FTP account — this is the 2nd step of deploying part. After successful connection to FTP server, website builder tries to log in with username and password of FTP account. Builder gets FTP data from website builder plugin on hosting control panel (API) (in case "Custom (API)" is used, FTP details are defined by parameters "username" and "password");
• files uploading — this is the 3rd step of deploying part. During this step website files are uploaded to hosting. Note that only changed files are uploaded from last publication. This is usually the longest part. It can take from few seconds to few minutes (depending on website size and connection speed between website builder and hosting servers);
• verification — this is the 4th step of deploying part. After successfully uploading website files (only changed) to hosting, website builder makes verification the purpose of which is to check if all required website files are on hosting and are all correct. During this step website builder connects to website hosting on port 80 or 443. The connection is made also with different IPs in the same order and same IPs as during website builder connection to FTP server with one difference — firstly it tries IP address which could successful establish connection to FTP server. During this step the state "verifying..." is displayed;
• files re-uploading (full) (optional) — this step is taken only in the case verification returned negative, that is some website file on hosting was removed or changed since last publication. During files re-uploading, connection to FTP is made again as described in step (3). When uploading ends, no second verification is made.

For Cloud brand: Unfortunately the limit of restorable backup files cannot be changed if you use premium brand. For backup file restoration that exceeds website builder limit, please create ticket on tickets page and specify us website domain and external link to backup file that you want to restore. Our team will restore it and we will notify you.

For On-Premises brand: Website builder limit parameter directly depends on PHP parameters post_max_size and upload_max_filesize on server where website builder is installed. So the limit is a smaller value of these 2 parameters. Just update values of these parameters in PHP settings and the limit in website builder will automatically change.

Important! If you have your On-Premises website builder domain configured with CloudFlare (or use different proxy service), then specified PHP parameters must also be raised in that service (by default it uses 128M).

If you want to run website builder domain under HTTPS protocol, you need to do the following steps:

1. Go to My Licenses page;
2. Click on the "Manage" button next to your Cloud brand;
3. "Add SSL";
4. Wait until the process is finished, and then website builder will start working with HTTPS protocol having a valid SSL certificate.

1. Open your On-Premises brand and change website builder domain by adding "https://" at the beginning of it (e.g., "builder.yourdomain.com" -> "https://builder.yourdomain.com");
2. Open file "config.json" in your website builder web root directory and update parameter "siteProApiUrl" by changing "http://" part to "https://";
3. Go to My Licenses page;
4. Click on the "Manage" button next to your On-Premises brand;
5. Click "Apply" button.

Website Builder upgrade from V3 to V4:

1. Go to "My Licenses" page;
2. Click on "Manage" button;
3. Switch to section "Install plugin" in the left menu bar;
4. In “New Builder Version (V4)” block – mark checkbox “Enabled”;
5. If your website builder version is (3.x.xxx) – please follow migration instructions to update to the new website builder version (On-Premise only).

Your customers will be able to implement migration from V3 to V4 in website builder by themselves.

Mass Websites migration from V3 to V4:

1. Go to "My Licenses" page;
2. Click on "Manage" button;
3. Switch to section “Mass migration” in the left menu bar;
4. Click on “Add Websites to queue“;
5. Add a list of domains that you want to migrate;
6. Click on "Add" button and wait while websites are imported to the builder.
