At the moment, some users may experience slower application performance. We would like to explain the main reasons and the current status of the situation.

Why is this happening?

• The issue does not affect all users. On some servers, no performance degradation has been recorded, so part of the users do not experience any disruptions.
• The number of users is growing faster than forecasted. Recently, platform usage has increased extremely rapidly, resulting in a higher-than-planned load on the system.
• Increased automated traffic activity due to unauthorized use. Because of malicious actions by some users and misuse of the application with automated systems (bots), additional load is being generated, which causes the application to slow down.
• Third-party infrastructure limitations. Although we use one of the most reliable cloud infrastructures in the world (Amazon), practice has shown that even such solutions are not fully protected from traffic spikes. We have tested solutions with approximately five different providers.

Why doesn’t automatic resource scaling help?

Although automatic doubling and even tripling of resources is implemented in the system, this does not always solve the problem. With certain types of load, deeper architectural and optimization solutions are required, which take time.

How long can this last?

We believe that stabilizing the situation may take a few more days. Our IT team is working continuously, allocating all possible resources and making maximum efforts to resolve the disruptions as quickly as possible.
