What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds a second layer of security to your Site.pro account. Normally, you log in with your email and password (1FA), but this may not always be enough. With 2FA, you confirm your login using a one-time code from an authentication app. This code changes every 30 seconds and only you can access it. Even if someone knows your password, they still cannot enter your account without the second code.

2FA acts as the second line of defense for your data. We recommend installing the authentication app on your phone (rather than on your computer) so your codes are always with you. Logging in with 2FA takes only a few seconds and greatly increases your account security. It is especially important if you store sensitive information or client data in your account.

Additionally, it provides the following benefits:

  • If a password is stolen or compromised — 2FA provides additional protection against unauthorized intruder access (without your confirmation via the second factor, login will not be possible);
  • Almost completely eliminates the risk of malicious hacking (mass automated or phishing attacks aimed at stealing passwords);
  • Ensures better GDPR compliance, as important data is additionally protected;
