Why are duplicate client cards created?
Client cards may be duplicated because the import from a bank statement is performed first, and in most cases, the client's email address is not displayed in the statement. The Site.pro client search algorithm works as follows: If a client is imported from an e-shop, the system searches for an existing client based on their first name, last name, and email address. The email is included to avoid merging different people with the same names into a single card. If such a client is not found, a new client card is created.If a client is imported from a bank statement, the system searches for an existing client based on their first name and last name (case-insensitive). If no such client is found, a new client is created. In this case, the email address is not used, as bank statements usually do not contain such information. To avoid duplicate client cards, there can be 2 solutions: Import orders from e-shops first, and then import bank statements. Then, the correct client will be selected based on their first name and last name.Parameters → Settings → System check "Priority client search by selected criteria": Note. If “Search by name (title)” is selected, another client with the same name (title) might be chosen. In that case, when importing orders, the client will be selected only by first and last name, so a new card will not be created.

  1. Import orders from e-shops first, and then import bank statements. Then, the correct client will be selected based on their first name and last name.

Note. If “Search by name (title)” is selected, another client with the same name (title) might be chosen. In that case, when importing orders, the client will be selected only by first and last name, so a new card will not be created.
